The Special Delivery Club
Pregnant women and new moms meet as a group once a week. They talk, listen to guest speakers, and get up-to-date information education and lots of support around pregnancy, birth and parenting. A nutritious meal is provided, and group members are able to access free milk, fresh vegetables, additional food and prenatal vitamins. Child care is provided for young children. It’s a busy, fun, positive place to be.
Co-facilitated by the Haliburton, Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit, the group is located at the Ontario Early Years Centre in Haliburton. Transportation is provided, if needed, and qualified child care providers are available to look after babies and younger children while the moms eat or listen to speakers.
