Earlier this week, SIRCH Community Services was honoured to receive a generous donation from Chris, Amanda, and the Petrow Family Foundation.
We are deeply grateful for their kindness, generosity, and belief in the work SIRCH does to support individuals and families across Haliburton County.

𝐒𝐈𝐑𝐂𝐇 is looking for caring volunteers to support our Bright Starts / CAPCHP program.
This role may be a great fit for someone with an ECE, EA, teaching, childcare, or family-support background who enjoys spending time with young children and helping create a welcoming space for families.
Volunteers will spend time with children ages 0–6 and lend a helping hand in our kids’ area while parents and caregivers take part in program activities.
Your time and experience can help support little ones, encourage parents and caregivers, and strengthen families in our community.
Screening and orientation are required for this volunteer role.

We are so grateful when people in our community use their skills to help others, and Dave Paddock and Ian Kinross are wonderful examples of that.
Dave, who works with Algonquin Outfitters, has been sharing his bike repair knowledge as one of our volunteer fixers at SIRCH Repair Café. Whether it’s a quick tune-up, a small adjustment, or helping someone understand how to keep their bike rolling safely, Dave brings practical skill, patience, and community spirit to the table.
A big thank you as well to 𝐈𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬, one of our 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐟é 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 and the writer behind 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬, for highlighting Dave’s story and helping shine a light on the people who make Repair Café possible.
