SIRCH is able to sustain their Community Kitchen program year after year thanks to donations of food and money offered by our community and with a great deal of help from our valued volunteers.
Each month, SIRCH volunteers produce over 300 meals that help support food security in Haliburton County, and that number is only going to grow. Meals are made in an approved kitchen with healthy ingredients, no added preservatives or sodium and are often made with locally grown vegetables. Every meal captures the laughing, caring and love that volunteers and the coordinator bring to their cooking days.
If you grow fresh vegetables, fruit or other food and would like to donate a portion to Community Kitchen, or if you would like to volunteer with SIRCH to help in Community Kitchen, please call Diane McKnight at 705-457-1742.
