Our vision is simple:
thriving communities where everyone feels connected and supported. Our values form the cornerstone of our identity: respectful, ethical, financially responsible, accountable, and mission-consistent.
Our mission is to identify community needs and barriers and develop solutions, through inspiration, innovation and partnerships.
Our goal is strengthening individual and community resiliance.
We strengthen resilience by:
• Offering a supportive network of programs, services, and social enterprises
• Cultivating a work environment rooted in our values
• Nurturing a collaborative spirit that adapts and thrives in the face of change
• Supporting people to help them navigate life's challenges with confidence
• Partnering with other organizations, businesses, foundations, funders and others
• Investing back into the community. In making decisions, or expanding programming, SIRCH considers various Social Determinants of Health. This group of social and economic factors, such as income, social support, coping skills, education and employment helps us develop services and social enterprises that create lasting positive impacts on individuals' overall well-being.
Our history goes back over 3 decades. SIRCH has developed dozens of services for Haliburton County and other communities. Some were piloted by SIRCH before transferring them to other organizations. Some we delivered ourselves. Some closed when no longer needed or when funding dissipated.
