Training

Training continues to evolve at SIRCH. In 2021 we went to a year-round flexible training model. This means that people can enter training any time of year. We start all our training with a certificate program for “in demand” skills that all employers want – teamwork, customer service, problem- solving, communication and more. This is not an online program, but rather in person learning where you talk and figure things out in a group of learners. That program can take as little as two weeks, or be integrated into other training.

SIRCH Community Services offers a number of free training opportunities for individuals in Haliburton County.

These opportunities help those who are unemployed and underemployed learn or update their skill set.

Nearly 100% of those who take part in our training programs are successful in gaining employment upon completion of the program.

Stay tuned for more training programs coming soon!

Trainees of the Basics of Carpentry program built this bunkie before completion of the program in 2022. The bunkie was auctioned off, with proceeds going back into SIRCH Community Services.
