Thrift Warehouse Haliburton
The Thrift Warehouse in Haliburton was started by, and is owned by TPS Haliburton Holdings (Ted Scholtes). The 8,000 square foot building takes reusable furniture, clothing, housewares, art, books, electronics and so much more. Those items are then offered to the public at low prices.
In 2014 SIRCH entered the picture. SIRCH now staffs and operates the Warehouse, and profits are split. All SIRCH proceeds go to support SIRCH charitable programs that receive no government funding.
Thrift Haliburton diverts about 65,000 cubic feet of reusable items from local landfills each year, offers year-round employment and volunteer opportunities, provides a wide variety of low cost goods, and also offers free goods to organizations that are re-homing families or helping someone in crisis.

Thrift Warehouse Bancroft
In 2015, at the behest of several organizations in North Hastings, SIRCH expanded to a second location in Bancroft. That store is owned and operated by SIRCH but accepts and sells the same variety of reusable goods. Proceeds from the Bancroft store are re-invested into the North Hastings community through Community Kitchen meals, Share the Warmth, and a variety of other offerings done in partnership with local North Hastings organizations.
Thrift Warehouse in Bancroft diverts about 45,000 cubic feet of reusable items from landfills each year, offers year-round employment and volunteer opportunities, provides a wide variety of low cost goods, and also offers free goods to organizations that are re-homing families or helping someone in crisis.
There is no tax on the items for sale at the Bancroft Thrift Warehouse.
