We are so grateful when people in our community use their skills to help others, and Dave Paddock and Ian Kinross are wonderful examples of that.
Dave, who works with Algonquin Outfitters, has been sharing his bike repair knowledge as one of our volunteer fixers at SIRCH Repair Café. Whether it’s a quick tune-up, a small adjustment, or helping someone understand how to keep their bike rolling safely, Dave brings practical skill, patience, and community spirit to the table.
A big thank you as well to 𝐈𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬, one of our 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐟é 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 and the writer behind 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬, for highlighting Dave’s story and helping shine a light on the people who make Repair Café possible.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make last Sunday’s Repair Café such a great community event.
Thank you to Bill Candy, who generously shared his knowledge with visitors by helping them tune guitars and ukuleles, and learn how to change strings on both steel-string and classical instruments. And to David Dengis, who shared his knowledge about fishing in Haliburton County, and Dave Paddock from Algonquin Outfitters, who joined us once again to help repair bicycles.
A very big thank you to all of our volunteer fixers. We truly cannot host Repair Café without you. Your time, skills, patience, and willingness to help others are so appreciated.
Thank you as well to everyone who came out. We saw some wonderful repairs being done and lots of neighbours helping neighbours.
Our next Repair Cafe will be Sunday, July 12th. Hope to see you there! ... See MoreSee Less
